Primoris Canada is an infrastructure contractor serving major firms in the oil, gas, power, petrochemical, and heavy oil industries and include services covering tailings and hydro-transport pipeline construction and maintenance, storage tank construction and maintenance, industrial facilities multi-discipline construction and maintenance, piping fabrication, and pipeline integrity services.

**SUMMARY**

The Superintendent is responsible for directing, administering and coordinating the day-to-day operations including equipment, transportation and project execution in accordance with company and client policies, procedures, codes, goals and objectives.

Site Based Position:

- Work is located 10-minutes from the city of Fort McMurray
- Travel: $700 per shift
- LOA: $225 per day

**JOB DUTIES**
- Coordinate and supervise Project activity
- Develop detailed Project Execution Plans
- Lead and assist in development of Project schedule and work plans
- Jointly lead morning toolbox and weekly safety meetings
- Lead daily debrief meeting with all site personnel including subcontractors
- Leads / Assists THA/JSA/OHA reviews with HSE Advisor and personnel
- Lead / Support project safety initiatives, deliverables
- Reviews / Develops project activity risk matrix
- Provide direction to subordinate personnel responsible for project execution; piping, structural, electrical & Instrumentation, civil, coatings, as well as equipment and transportation.
- Supervise/Monitor and foster project team performance, experience and growth
- Initiate and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors and vendors
- Generate daily field project reports; actual labor, equipment and activities completed with a plan for next day including contingencies
- Identify review and/or develop project change orders
- Deliver project shift reports physically and verbally to the client;
- Monitor/Articulate progress to client and Primoris
- Accountable for project spending
- Leads project start-up activities; planning, requisitions, client approvals
- Leads Plan development for Mobilization and Demobilization
- Reviews project quality and HSE deliverable progress
- Identifies means/methods for cost mitigation while not compromising safety or quality

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 5 - 10 years working experience in construction site superintendent.
- Heavy civil knowledge

**SKILLS**
- Knowledge of typical costs associated with piping and civil activities.
- Aptitude for mathematics can analyze, compare and interpret detailed but sometimes poorly defined information, and be able to make sound and accurate judgments based on this information.
- Ability to focus on details, while analyzing and managing larger obstacles, is vital.
- Assertiveness and self-assurance in presenting and supporting conclusions, strong communications, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to often work under pressure and stress, especially when facing bid deadlines.
- Accuracy is paramount. Inaccurate estimating can cause a bid (proposal) loss or a project money loss on a job that was not accurately estimated.
- Support managers in creating new proposals.
- Proficient computer skills; MS Office products /Excel experience with estimating software
