Parking Enforcement Officer

Position Summary As a Parking Enforcement Officer, you’ll help shape the everyday experience of thousands. You’ll monitor private properties, ensure compliance with parking rules, and use advanced digital tools to uphold fairness across the communities we support. You’ll bring discipline, judgment, and care to every patrol — using your personal vehicle, with full CRA‑compliant mileage reimbursement — while contributing to an enforcement system designed with intention, clarity, and trust at its core. Engagement Type Role Type: Permanent Part‑Time Compensation: Hourly pay + mileage reimbursement Vehicle Requirement: Reliable, insured personal vehicle Reporting Structure You’ll report directly to the Chief Enforcement Officer, working alongside a leadership team committed to innovation, integrity, and elevating the standard of private‑property parking enforcement. What you’ll do Patrol with purpose Conduct scheduled patrols across assigned properties. Identify vehicles in violation of posted rules. Verify permits, payment sessions, and license plates through mobile applications and LPR systems. Execute with precision Issue Notices of Parking Violations when required. Document each interaction with photos, timestamps, GPS data, and detailed reason codes. Use digital enforcement tools — built for speed, accuracy, and consistency. Exercise good judgment in issuing warnings where appropriate. Design clarity Install and maintain signage that guides and informs. Ensure all posted rules are visible, accurate, and compliant. Document repairs and replacements with time‑stamped images. Flag inconsistencies between posted rules and configured enforcement settings. Maintain integrity Keep accurate logs and ensure all recorded data meets evidentiary standards. Treat personal information with absolute care and confidentiality. Represent a higher standard Communicate with professionalism and empathy. Provide guidance on parking policies and dispute processes. Avoid confrontation and escalated unsafe situations immediately. Stay ready Wear the designated uniform with pride. Maintain your vehicle for safe and reliable patrol performance. Adapt to night shifts, adverse weather, and dynamic environments. Decision Authority Issue warnings or Notices of Parking Violations in accordance with defined rules. Recommend cancellations; approvals handled at the leadership level. Request towing when authorized. How we measure success Consistency and coverage of patrols Accuracy and defensibility of citations Dispute uphold rate Professionalism and adherence to policy Timeliness and quality of reporting Who you are You have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. You have reliable access to an insured personal vehicle. MLEO certification is an asset, but training can be arranged. You have a clean criminal record required for certification. You’ve worked in parking enforcement, by‑law, or private security — or you’re eager to learn. You’re comfortable with mobile devices and clear written communication. Work Conditions This role requires time outdoors, time on the road, and time in motion. You’ll work independently, moving between sites, through changing weather, shifting conditions, and moments that demand presence, awareness, and calm.
