We are seeking a highly motivated sales‑minded individual who is looking to build on their existing sales skills and experience to join our firm and grow our inside sales team. The Business Development Specialist role is designed to expand the reach of BBD’s products and services through existing client relationships and by exploring future ones. The main purpose of the role is to generate sales opportunities for the Partnership Development and Client Services teams through lead generation and lead‑nurturing activities. Responsibilities Develop, execute, and evaluate plans for expanding and increasing sales of all products. Convert warm leads into qualified leads to hand off to the sales team. Create sales opportunities for the sales team through website lead generation and qualification. Create lead‑nurturing and marketing campaigns to stay connected with potential clients. Generate leads from cold calls and networking within the industry. Deliver sales presentations, pitches, and estimates to grow the customer base. Maintain a thorough understanding of products and services offered by BBD. Stay current on industry trends and attend industry events. Liaise with the Marketing & Communications department on marketing and sales campaigns and generate promotional materials and sales tools. Collaborate with all other departments at BBD to improve the sales process. Bring new solutions to the market and ensure the appropriate departments have the information and instruction to properly sell, implement, and service the products. Qualifications 1–2 years relevant work experience or equivalent in an office or marketing role. Post‑secondary education is an asset. Excellent interpersonal communications, sales background, and supervisory experience. Strong organizational and networking skills. Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills. Independent self‑starter who is confident, enthusiastic, and driven to succeed. Positive attitude, strong team player, and customer focused. Proficient technology skills, including social media, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Goal‑oriented, hands‑on team player who can work in a fast‑paced environment. The base salary range for this position is $60,000 – $70,000 per annum, competitive and commensurate with experience.
