Kelowna BC, Canada ESD Simulation Training Full time

This role would suit a semi-retired individual.
The primary responsibility of this part-time role is to support the ESD business by modifying and/or creating new Course Outlines and Course Training Manuals. The specialist will translate complex technical information from customers into clear and accessible course materials, including simpler drawings and text. Depending on business workload, this role could require anything from half a day a week to 2 days a week with the average being close to 1 day a week.

ESD's business is primarily in the process industries , which include LNG, Natural Gas Transmission, Oil Production, Carbon Capture and Storage, and Hydrogen production.

Develop and revise Course Outlines and Course Training Manuals.
Analyze technical information provided by customers and transform it into educational content.
Collaborate with internal teams, including the Graphic Designer for formatting support and the Course Administrator for scheduling, to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Maintain daily communication flow to facilitate the rapid progression of course material development, often working against tight print deadlines.
Plan and manage workload, with proactive scheduling of any necessary vacation time.
Engineering Degree or Similar Technical Training. Experience in one of ESD's primary process industries (LNG, Natural Gas Transmission, Oil Production, Carbon Capture and Storage, Hydrogen production) would be an advantage but is not essential.
Must be adept at daily communication, capable of efficiently conveying needs and proactively solving challenges, especially when working with team members remotely or dealing with sensitive formatting requirements (like those needed for the Graphic Designer).
Strong Computer Proficiency in a range of applications, including:
Microsoft Word, Excel, and slide presentations.
Virtual meeting tools (e.g., Creating screen shots and drawing on a screen.
A willingness to embrace AI tools to improve efficiency and reduce development time.
