Liaison Engineer, Mechanical and Piping Our client is looking for a Liaison Engineer for Mechanical and Piping to play a vital role in ensuring that engineering intent is effectively integrated into shipbuilding production activities. Working within designated construction areas, this position evaluates and resolves mechanical and piping‑related engineering challenges while maintaining alignment with project schedules and technical requirements. Pay: CA$37.00/hr - CA$45.00/hr (range provided by Stellar Recruitment Inc. Actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.) Responsibilities Develop a strong understanding of construction standards, piping standards, P&IDs, isometrics, and material specifications while working with design engineers to resolve production issues. Provide field support by attending manufacturing shops and assisting with issue resolution as required. Deliver engineering support within assigned construction areas, helping to address mechanical and piping‑related challenges. Work collaboratively with Operations, Planning, and Production Control to manage production issues while maintaining cost and schedule targets. Develop and/or review design documents to ensure compliance with customer requirements, Classification Society rules, and applicable regulatory standards. Support suppliers and subcontractors to ensure their work meets cost, schedule, and technical performance expectations. Qualifications Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Systems, or Naval Architecture; P.Eng. or EIT registration required. Minimum 3 years of relevant post‑secondary experience in mechanical, marine systems, or naval architecture engineering roles. Prior maritime, shipyard, or shipboard experience strongly preferred. Ability to work effectively within diverse and integrated project teams. Strong technical knowledge in piping systems, mechanical equipment, engineering analysis tools, and field engineering practices. Demonstrated ability to independently solve complex technical challenges and produce clear, detailed technical documentation.
