Reporting directly to the President, Mortgage Architects, this position is ideal for a seasoned mortgage industry leader with a strong track record in brokerage operations, the lender and regulatory landscape, mortgage industry technology, and broker relations. You will oversee multidisciplinary teams, lead complex initiatives, and contribute to the strategic direction of our national brokerage network. WHAT YOU WILL DO Brokerage Oversight Oversee day‑to‑day brokerage operations under the direction of the President, MA Work closely with DLCG’s COO and VP Corporate Services to implement and manage operational policy and process Serve as project manager for various corporate initiatives Lead implementation of broker‑facing systems and processes with minimal business disruption Manage relationships with key partners and stakeholders Act as primary office manager for the head office team Manage day‑to‑day employee matters, under the direction of the President and VP Corporate Services Ensure head office teams are structured and supported to meet network needs Broker Relations Serve as a key escalation point for MA agents and lead planners Resolve broker concerns and inquiries related to lender access, team structures, new systems, and process adoption, and more Create training and communication materials to support MA brokers Process Optimization Modernize and optimize systems and processes, including AI adoption for brokers and staff, in partnership with DLCG Operations, IT, and Newton Create and maintain standard operating procedures, training guides, and other assets to support company operations and broker support Identify operational risks, and develop and implement mitigation solutions Strategic Planning Provide counsel to the President and DLCG Executive Team on new revenue, cost efficiencies, and productivity improvements for brokers Leverage emerging technology to improve operations Gather feedback from MA’s lead planners, agents and other stakeholders on priorities Take daily action to advance Recruitment, Retention, Same Store Sales, Cross‑Sell, and Velocity Adoption. Participate in sales calls and recruiting activities, as required Attend MA, DLCG and industry events as a senior representative of MA Collaborate with sales teams & RVPs on initiatives and projects related to the 5 Pillars Monitor MA’s results related to the 5 Pillars and highlight opportunities for improvement WHAT YOU BRING Minimum 5 years’ proven experience in an operational leadership role for a mortgage brokerage, lender or similar operation Expert level knowledge of the Canadian Mortgage Industry landscape, particularly the mortgage broker channel Strong relationships and a robust network throughout the Canadian Mortgage Industry Technical knowledge of mortgage industry processes, systems and software Familiarity with mortgage underwriting, credit and mortgage products Understanding of industry regulations (including brokerage reporting requirements), compliance, and lender relations General accounting knowledge, comfortable reviewing financial statements, and familiarity with payroll processing Proficient ability to create and analyze business reporting, and write business requirements for technical teams Proven experience leading a successful team Mortgage Broker or Agent license is considered a strong asset COMPENSATION We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package which will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
