As a result our people get to work on some of the most exciting projects in the world.Who are you?You are an experienced Estimator with 3-5 years post‑graduate experience in cost planning and estimating looking for the next step, or are currently undertaking a similar role in a similar environment and looking to join a growing and dynamic team.Job DescriptionAs an Estimator, you will be involved in:Preparing Construction Cost Estimate reports at all stages of design for Energy & Natural Resource & Mining projects. The estimates are industrial type work projects within Alberta and nationally as required.Produce estimates, taking ownership of them and presenting the final cost plan/estimate to the department lead.Applying Value Management techniques at the outset of a project and where appropriateEnsuring that cost analysis, cost checking and valuation work is managed effectivelyParticipating on basic project and financial management responsibilities such as timesheets, free tracking, invoice preparation etc.Qualifications3-5 years’ experience delivering pre‑construction and post‑contract construction cost servicesA recognized University Degree in Quantity Surveying or related fieldMembership of Relevant Professional Organizations such as the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS); The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS); and/or Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE)Piping and or pipeline experience is an assetFabrication & Module experience is an assetExperience of working in a consultancy or owner organization.Experience of working in the Canadian construction market.Experienced user of Excel, Word, and PowerPointKnowledge of and experience using InEight & Aspentech software is an assetAdditional InformationTurner & Townsend is a leading independent professional services company specializing in program management, project management, cost management and consulting across the property, infrastructure and natural resources sectors.
