We are seeking an experienced Payroll Supervisor to join a large, multi-province organization on a 6-month contract. This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working in a more manual payroll environment. The successful candidate will help prepare, review, and process payroll operations for approximately 1,000 employees across Canada, including salaried, part-time, and unionized staff, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in all payroll activities.This role is hybrid and requires 3 days a week in the office.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute end-to-end payroll processing across multiple provinces in Canada.Manage payroll for a diverse workforce (salaried, part-time, hourly, and union employees), including T4A reporting.Perform reconciliations and ensure payroll rates and calculations are accurate.Review payroll team members’ work and support accurate payroll delivery.Ensure adherence to provincial and federal legislation, as well as collective agreements.Act as the primary point of contact for payroll inquiries and resolve complex issues.Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of payroll data and processes.Drive process improvements while maintaining accuracy in a manual environment.Qualifications4+ years of progressive payroll experience; supervisor/management experience is a plus but not mandatory.Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) designation or Payroll Leadership Professional (PLP) designation is an asset.Strong experience managing payroll in a multi-province environment, including part-time, contract, hourly, salaried, and unionized employees.Demonstrated ability to process payroll manually (not only through systems) and willingness to be hands-on.If you are qualified and interested in this position, please send your resume in Word to Navneet Kaur at nkaur@ifgpr.com today.
