About The Role Reporting The Electronics Technologist/ Avionics Technician reports directly to the Avionics Shop Manager. Core Competencies Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Positive attitude, team player Problem‑solving Professionalism Self‑motivated, dedicated to learning Key Performance Indicators / Duties & Responsibilities Carry out maintenance, repair, and modification on aircraft as assigned to them and as required under supervision by a licensed technician. Ensure all maintenance and safety precautions are observed when carrying out assigned activities. Sign work sheets and work cards for work accomplished – completely and accurately. Report unserviceable equipment to their assigned licensed technician and/or lead technician. Notify assigned licensed and/or lead technician of all defects discovered during routine maintenance. Communicate when tasks are complete so the next trade can move onto the job. Attend and complete training courses as assigned by company management. Ensure the work environment is safe and clean. Promote company values, vision and mission. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Excellent organizational skills. Shows integrity, ingenuity, and assertiveness in the performance of tasks. Must have strong troubleshooting skills with good quality workmanship. Employee is expected to work towards obtaining their “E” license. Experience Currently attending a Transport Canada approved AME program or completed a Transport Canada approved AME program. Demonstrated ability to work well with other individuals throughout the organization.
