Business Development Manager, Commercial MortgageJob DescriptionPrimary Purpose of the Role/JobThe Business Relationship Manager helps advance our Bank’s market position and financial growth, by advancing Shinhan’s presence in the community by leveraging their mortgage expertise and having a strong understanding of the market and potential client base. The Business Relationship Manager is expected to be a strong relationship builder who is able to develop a rapport with new clients and provide support that will continually improve the relationship.Key Responsibilities & AccountabilitiesUnderstand and provide insight to business development efforts to build client portfolio and turn this into increased businessCreate a sales plan that will lead to the achievement of client sales targets; Deposit, Residential Mortgage, and Commercial MortgageProspect for potential new clients and turn this into increased businessIdentify leading edge tactics to generate leads and build a pipeline of mortgage businessLeverage your mortgage experience to help clients achieve their home ownership goalsDemonstrate a strong understanding of the Bank’s campaigns, products, services, and distribution channels that lead to increase in salesUsing knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the bank’s unique selling propositions and differentiatorsForecast sales targets and ensure they are metTrack and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targetsUnderstand the bank’s goal and purpose so that will continual to enhance the bank’s performancePresent ideas for business development training and mentoring to business developers and other internal staffManage the reports that analyze performance against forecasts and sales targetsAdditional duties as deemed necessaryJob RequirementsQualifications5-10 yearsIndependent, self-managed professionals who are ambitious and target driven with a proven sales track recordSkilled assessing new and existing customer needs, providing quality advice and recommendationsStrong communication skills (verbal and written)Strong attention to detail and demonstrated skills to effectively organize and prioritize work volumesSound Knowledge of financial analysis, risk evaluation, loan documentation and commercial loan structuresAbility to generate new business, identify business opportunities – grow and maintain client relationshipsFlexibility to withstand unpredictable changes to schedule and deadlinesStrong teamwork orientationStrong interpersonal skills, ability to build quality, long-term relationships with clientsMust be legally eligible to work in Canada3-5 years of people management experience is preferredProfessional Certification/Membership Requirements #J-18808-Ljbffr
