Head of IT - Burlington, ON, Canada - DLL

Description

As a strategic leader, you will oversee all aspects of Information Technology within the DLL operations in Canada, shaping and implementing the IT strategy to align with regional business objectives and drive technological excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Create a security by design culture within the technology team and uphold regulatory and global policies.
  2. Develop and implement the IT strategy for the Canada region in alignment with the global IT strategy and regional business objectives.
  3. Collaborate with business and product leadership to integrate IT initiatives into overall business plans.
  4. Lead, coach, and mentor an IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  5. Ensure the development and retention of top IT talent within the region.
  6. Oversee IT operations, including service desk and support services, IT security, compliance, and risk management.
  7. Manage application development and support, data management and analytics, and digital products management.
  8. Collaborate with global enterprise architecture team on recommendation of new technologies, methodologies, and frameworks.
  9. Evaluate and manage relationships with external suppliers and vendors, ensuring the delivery of quality services and solutions.
  10. Manage the day-to-day relationship of the supplier, including incidents, performance metrics, and quality delivery enhancements.
  11. Ensure compliance with regional and global regulations related to IT, cyber security, and data management.
  12. Develop and manage the IT budget for the Canada region, ensuring cost effectiveness and resource optimization.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role within the banking or financial services industry.
  3. Strong understanding of banking operations, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  4. Ability to drive technology innovation, digital transformation, and crisis management.
  5. Proven ability to work in a matrix and international environment.

Note: Pay may be adjusted outside the projected range based on geographical differentiation and other lawful reasons.
