Shift pattern: Monday-Friday – Dayshift – variable to support service. An exciting opportunity has arisen within Medical services at the QEUH for a highly motivated Charge Nurse to provide leadership and ensure that high quality, safe, effective, person‑centred care in one of our Acute Respiratory wards. Responsibilities Lead the wider team supporting effective care planning and safe discharge. Ensure appropriate learning opportunities are available for all staff, encouraging best practice to deliver high‑quality patient care at all times in line with NHS GGC Care Assurance Standards. Provide clinical guidance and professional management to the Lead Nurse, and manage the ward 24/7, delivering care assurance standards. Demonstrate effective leadership, communication, and organisational skills, with evidence of personal development and willingness to contribute to education and audit at ward level. Support the team’s understanding of policy, procedures and local/national priorities.
