Position Overview

We are seeking a Sales Executive with 5–7 years of proven sales success to join our Toronto office. In this role, you will take ownership of the entire sales cycle—from lead generation and prospecting to closing deals, as well as post-sale account management and renewals. While prior experience selling to PR agencies or in marketing/communications is a plus, it is not a strict requirement. We value a consultative approach to sales, a track record of meeting or exceeding targets, and a passion for helping clients achieve their goals through integrated solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospecting & Lead Generation: Identify and reach out to potential clients across diverse industries—including, but not limited to, PR agencies, corporate communications, consumer brands, and more.
  • Sales Presentations & Pitching: Develop and deliver compelling sales pitches that clearly communicate the benefits and value of Fifth Story’s solutions, customized to each client’s needs.
  • Closing Deals & Contract Negotiation: Oversee the entire sales process, from initial outreach to finalized contracts, ensuring strong ROI for both the client and Fifth Story.
  • Account Management & Renewals : Build and maintain enduring client relationships, driving repeat business and serving as the primary point of contact for ongoing support.
  • CRM & Reporting: Keep accurate, up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and forecasting in the company’s CRM system.
  • Collaboration & Internal Support: Work closely with cross-functional teams—creative, production, and marketing—to align on proposals, deliverables, and client satisfaction.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 5–7 years of success in a full-cycle sales role, ideally with consultative, solution-based selling experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets, with clear examples of quantifiable achievements.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, comfortable with creating and delivering client-focused solutions.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, pipeline management, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with marketing, PR, or related industries—but not required.

Location & Work Environment

  • Hybrid/Toronto-based: Candidates should be located in the Greater Toronto Area or willing to relocate.
  • Periodic travel to client sites or industry events may be required.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Annual Salary Range: $55,000 – $65,000
  • Uncapped Commission Potential: Annual on-target earnings (OTE) of an additional $30,000, with no upper limit for top performers
  • Performance-Based Bonuses: Additional incentive bonuses awarded for meeting or surpassing quarterly/annual sales targets
