Analyst (Payroll Services) (Specific Project) Vanier College is seeking an Analyst (Payroll Services) for a specific payroll project. The role is full‑time, starting December 15 2025, with a contract through December 15 2026. Base Pay Range $54,442 / yr – $93,306 / yr (Salary scale). Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Manager of Payroll Services, the analyst will analyze, develop, coordinate and monitor all payroll systems, methods and processes, ensuring uninterrupted payroll services and maximum efficiency of programming functions while complying with regulations and policies. Typical Functions Ensure deadlines are respected, payroll records are maintained in good standing and confidentiality is preserved. Reconcile all payroll accounts and perform monthly analysis in accordance with the General Ledger, preparing required journal entries. Develop, propose and implement payroll policies and procedures after official approval. Conceptualize, develop and update payroll procedures to maximize efficiency. Ensure compliance with all college policies, procedures, government rules and regulations. Liaise with Human Resources Services to ensure payroll activities comply with college policies and collective agreements. Produce year‑end reports, tax information slips and CNESST reports as required. Prepare RetraiteQuébec reports and related reconciliations. Organize quarterly reconciliations of leave of absence and prepare year‑end reports for audit. Assist in generating payroll information reports for external auditors. Liaise with governmental organizations and the college’s financial institution for payroll matters. Other Related Tasks Additional tasks within the scope of this position may be assigned. Schedule & Contract Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (35 hrs / wk). Contract: December 15 2025 to December 15 2026. Requirements Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field. At least 2 years of payroll‑related experience. Extensive knowledge of payroll regulations, procedures and systems, preferably in education sector (Cégep network). Knowledge of finance systems used in the education sector and government pension plans. Strong English and French oral and written communication skills. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel. Demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work to tight timelines. Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
