The Job
As the Leasing Coordinator, you are an integral member of the Commercial Operations team. Your duties are focused on leasing for a portfolio of new and existing clients and you will:
Provide support to the VP of Operations, Leasing Manager, Property Managers, and Property Administrators.
Review Offers to Lease (OTL), propose relevant changes, and revise the OTLs accordingly.
Draft and finalize lease documentation including agreements, abstracts, and Net Effective Rent (NER).
Participate in the lease approval process including negotiations and counteroffers.
Prepare lease renewals, amend lease agreements, and draft Vacancy Possession letters.
Ensure documentation is in alignment with negotiations and agreed upon rates.
Conduct market research on leasing rates and make appropriate recommendations.
Prepare invoices regarding leasing/renewal fees.
Update sections of management reports and budgets on leasing matters.
Create reports on occupancy and vacancies for portfolio of properties.
Manage communications and inquiries within the company and with clients/tenants regarding leasing.
Assess the leasing and property administration processes and suggest improvements.
Other tasks as required.

What you bring to the job
You are hard-working and proactive, with an interest in furthering your career. You have a passion for learning and enhancing efficiencies, while also ensuring collective success. You also have:
A university degree or college diploma in a relevant field.
At least 2 years of experience in commercial leasing and operations.
Experience with drafting leases and lease abstracts as well as lease negotiations.
Experience managing 30-50 properties simultaneously, with multiple leases and tenants in each.
Highly effective in time management, organization, and accuracy.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Able to read and develop thorough understanding of clauses.
Experienced and proficient in using Yardi.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel at an advanced level.
Able to work collaboratively as well as autonomously.
