Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, our client is looking for a Senior Property Accountant to join a fast-paced team, who will be responsible for supporting a dedicated portfolio of properties, the group of companies and the finance teams through their continued growth.

This individual will be responsible for full cycle accounting duties while supporting the day-to-day accounting functions of the property operations team for a diversified group of companies focused on real estate asset management.

TMGNYJob Requirements: Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or other relevant technical discipline.

Minimum 3-4+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in the real estate and property management industry.

Professional Accounting Designation or in the final stages of the CPA program.

Highly organized with the ability to multitask and work under pressure.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to pick up new technology quickly.

Genuinely curious with a desire to understand key metrics and drivers.

High attention to detail, understanding of accounting principles, specifically IFRS.

Strong customer focus with excellent relationship building and a collaborative working style.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Ability to handle competing deliverables with accurate/timely delivery under tight timelines.

Experience with Yardi or other real estate centric ERP is an asset.
