Your Opportunity
Our Risk Advisory Services (RAS) practice is looking for an Accessibility Consultant to join our growing practice. The successful candidate will be working hybrid (2-3 days) out of the Ottawa office. The Consultant’s responsibilities will include:
Conducting accessibility assessments to help organizations across the country identify and address barriers for persons with disabilities in areas such as employment, the built environment, communications, digital technologies, procurement, the design and delivery of programs and services, and transportation
Supporting organizations in implementing changes to remove barriers to accessibility
Working with internal and external teams to organize, schedule and conduct consultations with persons with disabilities, subject matter experts and others who support accessibility within organizations
Researching best practices in accessibility for persons with disabilities in Canada and worldwide
Creating high-quality presentations and reports, leveraging technology for impactful delivery
Supporting the development of new business opportunities by conducting research on potential clients and drafting proposals
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Staying current on industry trends and continuously enhancing technical and professional knowledge

Your experience and education
Diploma or post-secondary degree
Minimum 2+ years of experience in accessibility, disability, and/or equity, diversity and inclusion
A relevant designation or willingness to complete one within the first year of joining the team
Bilingualism (French and English), written and spoken, preferred
