POSITION DESCRIPTION: Under the responsibility of the Head Chef, the incumbent assists the chef and cooks in their tasks. He/She cuts and peels the vegetables or fruits, arranges the plates, prepares the meal carts and participates in the maintenance of the equipment and the kitchen with the rest of the team.

Permanent full-time position, 30 hours a week, daytime from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and one weekend. Working days: 1st week Monday-Friday and Saturday, 2nd week Sunday-Thursday and Friday.

ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Carry out cutting and peeling vegetables and fruits

Food Services

Assemble plates of food

Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure good teamwork

Ensure the kitchen and equipment are kept clean according to established hygiene and cleanliness standards

Maintaining the cleanliness of equipment and the workspace

Manning the warm table, help residences with their choices

Perform other related duties

Supervise the preparation of cold meals and desserts

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Good team player

Good sense of interpersonal communication

Good communication

Experience in a large restoration's volume (an asset)
