Humber River Health is a provider of Infant hearing diagnostic Auditory Brainstem Response assessments and rehabilitation services under the Early Abilities, Infant Hearing Program of Ontario
Right now we’re looking for a Permanent Part-Time Audiologist to work in our Maternal & Child Program .
Location: Wilson site Employee Group:   OPSEU 590
Hours of Work:   Days
Responsibilities :
Evaluate hearing and provide habilitation for individuals from infancy to adulthood. Assessments include the use of Behavioural Observation, Visual Reinforcement, Play and Conventional audiometry.
Hearing aid evaluations and verification along with routine hearing aid checks and readjustments for both the paediatric and adult populations.
Collaborate with other member of the interdisciplinary team regarding patient care approaches and recommendations.
Communicate effectively with other Audiologists as needed.
Ensure a very high standard of patient care in accordance with The College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists.
Ability to test a diversity of patients with developmental delays including but not limited to ASD, Global Developmental Delays and Blind Low Vision, preferred.
Requirements :
Master’s Degree in Audiology or equivalent
Registration and a member in good standing, with CASLPO
Experience in a hospital setting preferred
Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience working with the paediatric population required
Sound professional knowledge and judgment in a clinical role
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written skills
Committed to providing patient family centered, evidence based practice in a fast paced clinical setting
Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
