To achieve this, we have developed The Globe Pulsed Field System – we have a fantastic technical team that has developed a product with strong, unique, and customer-valued differentiators versus other solutions on the market. We have built connections with key opinion leaders who are already using the Globe System and are helping to tell our story.We have now completed our pivotal clinical study and our focus is on regulatory approvals and commercial launch. This is an exciting and significant milestone in our journey to bring this ground-breaking technology to patients.Please note, this opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.Meaningful work you will be a part ofAs a Clinical Development Engineer, you will use your clinical and technical expertise to define, develop, and validate new products and features. You will work with engineers, physicians, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify user needs, develop new procedures and workflows, participate in design reviews, validate safety and efficacy in preclinical and clinical studies, and document continuous improvement feedback. Your responsibilities will include:Collaborate with physicians and other users, using a data-driven approach to identify user needsDesign, develop, and execute benchtop experiments to assess prototypes or complete clinical investigationsConduct pre-clinical testing to validate new products and featuresProvide field support as a mapper and hardware expert at early-stage pilot and pivotal clinical studiesProvide user input on design of training and simulation toolsDocument continuous improvement feedback and determine the scope and direction of resulting investigationsProvide input to Product Management, Systems, Mapping, and Product Design teams on areas for improvement and new feature development.Advise other teams at Kardium on best-practice clinical usage of the Globe system.What you bring to the teamOur Kardium team is smart, creative, and passionate about developing cutting-edge medical devices to help improve people’s lives. We understand that only by working together can we solve what was thought unsolvable.You will be successful in this role because you possess these attributes:Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, life science, or similar.3+ years of experience in product development within the medical device industry.Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of electrophysiology, cardiac physiology, or human anatomy.Experience in a hospital setting is an asset.Demonstrated ability to succinctly explain complicated technical concepts.Effective communication skills across interdisciplinary teams (verbal, written, presentation).Composed and able to react quickly under pressure.Ability to work as part of a team and independently.Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, domestic and internationally.CompensationKardium has listed the total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% RRSP contribution) that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs.
