You will work with general supervision and direction on small pipeline projects, and as a team member of a larger project under the guidance of a senior engineer/designer. You will participate in the evaluation, recommendation, and specification for engineering principles to select the best plan involving the collaboration with multiple stakeholders and expertise within the company. You will assist in verifying compliance with applicable codes, design and construction specifications, and engineering standards/practices.Provide appropriate engineering input and a technical overview to design activities undertaken by design/drafting staff residing within or outside the project team.Contribute to cost estimates in small to large sized projects in collaboration with all other disciplines.Ensure that the deliverables provided to the project are technically accurate, within specifications, scope, budget and schedule, suitable for the intended purpose and in compliance with quality procedures and project plans.Perform design work and ensure the drafting of the pipeline alignment sheets, detailed crossings plans, and related pipeline facilities is accurate.Create material requisitions and, if necessary, review quotations for compliance with technical specifications.Interface with other departments, project managers, engineers, clients and vendors during all phases of projects to ensure a good working interface and accurate exchange of technical data.Collaborate and coordinate with project team to determine and achieve project objectives.Participate in regular project meetings.Opportunities for field-based engineering construction support may be available on a project-specific basis.General understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications.Ability to check the work of others for accuracy and completeness, work independently, and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.Thorough understanding of engineering concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas to others.Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering preferred.Licensed Professional Engineer.Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees will have access to health, dental, and vision plans, a well-being program, health care spending account, wellness spending accounts, group registered retirement savings plan, employee stock purchase program, group tax-free savings account, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage, and paid time off.Temporary/casual employees will have access to group registered retirement savings plan, employee stock purchase program, and group tax-free savings account.Schedule : Full-time
