We value a collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset and offer opportunities to learn and grow within a dynamic, innovative environment.Primary ResponsibilitiesWork as a project director on various large-scale projects in building mechanicalsAct as a technical reference in building mechanicals and solve complex engineering problemsAct as a mentor and share building engineering knowledge with junior employeesConfirm accuracy of drawings and specifications for projects under their supervisionCoordinate the work of team members and various professionals, ensuring collaboration with other internal disciplines to deliver projects on timeMeet with clients, assess needs, prepare proposals and letters of intent, and establish budgets and schedulesMaintain client communication to monitor project progress and incorporate feedbackCollaborate with clients to resolve technical and budgetary issuesCarry out contract monitoring (including budgets) and draft contract amendmentsAct as a project manager for projects under supervision and follow up on WIP/AR with involved staffManage Human Resources: hiring, performance evaluations, salary reviews, and maintaining a healthy, high-performing teamEvaluate and implement methods, procedures and tools to increase service quality and productivityQualificationsBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 20 years of professional experiencePortfolio of diversified institutional building projects (primarily schools and hospitals)Experience in consulting engineering in private, public or semipublic building sectorsIn-depth knowledge of financial concepts and budget monitoring skillsNegotiation and communication skillsProven project management abilitiesStrong technical credibility and willingness to share expertise with clients and the teamWhy Join Us / BenefitsComprehensive Group Benefits from day one for permanent employees working at least 20 hours per weekEmployee and Family Assistance ProgramRetirement Savings Plan (RRSP) with up to 4% employer contributionEmployee ownership with annual opportunity to purchase sharesFlexible hybrid work scheduleWork/Life balance policies across Canada3-5 weeks of vacation, based on experienceTailored training to enhance skillsAdditional InformationEthics and integrity are core values at CIMA+.
