Primary Responsibilities Work as a project director on various large-scale projects in building mechanicals Act as a technical reference in building mechanicals and solve complex engineering problems Act as a mentor and share building engineering knowledge with junior employees Confirm accuracy of drawings and specifications for projects under their supervision Coordinate the work of team members and various professionals, ensuring collaboration with other internal disciplines to deliver projects on time Meet with clients, assess needs, prepare proposals and letters of intent, and establish budgets and schedules Maintain client communication to monitor project progress and incorporate feedback Collaborate with clients to resolve technical and budgetary issues Carry out contract monitoring (including budgets) and draft contract amendments Act as a project manager for projects under supervision and follow up on WIP/AR with involved staff Manage Human Resources: hiring, performance evaluations, salary reviews, and maintaining a healthy, high-performing team Evaluate and implement methods, procedures and tools to increase service quality and productivity Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 20 years of professional experience Portfolio of diversified institutional building projects (primarily schools and hospitals) Experience in consulting engineering in private, public or semipublic building sectors In-depth knowledge of financial concepts and budget monitoring skills Negotiation and communication skills Proven project management abilities Strong technical credibility and willingness to share expertise with clients and the team Why Join Us / Benefits Comprehensive Group Benefits from day one for permanent employees working at least 20 hours per week Employee and Family Assistance Program Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) with up to 4% employer contribution Employee ownership with annual opportunity to purchase shares Flexible hybrid work schedule Work/Life balance policies across Canada 3-5 weeks of vacation, based on experience Tailored training to enhance skills Additional Information Ethics and integrity are core values at CIMA+.
