Position Summary As an Account Manager at STERIS, you are responsible for the overall financial performance and Customer satisfaction in the assigned territory. You will meet yearly sales goals, drive growth in market share from competitors, and ensure all Customer experiences are positive, noteworthy and exceeding expectations. You will act as the primary contact and sales consultant for the Medical Device Reprocessing Area (SPD) and will also interact with GI and OR. You will balance selling STERIS’ established line of products in GI Reprocessing and Procedural GI with new product introductions. The territory covers Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and NW Ontario. What You Will Do As An Account Manager Develop, communicate, and execute a yearly business plan for capital and associated consumable goods. Submit and execute an accurate forecast (within a +/- 10% - 15% variance) for capital and associated consumable products on a monthly and quarterly basis. Develop relationships with customers in MDRA (SPD) GI, OR, IC, MM, purchasing, biomed, and with the CEOs, COOs and CFOs of acute care hospitals and private surgical centers. Consistently act in a manner that meets or exceeds customer expectations while considering the reasonableness of request and fairness to STERIS. Utilize value‑added services in the selling process to differentiate STERIS from its competitors, including STERIS University, in‑service video, sizing studies, equipment audits, CEU training and proportioners, and utilization of our Planning Group and VR Services. Manage the post‑sale process, including in‑servicing, to ensure customers have thorough knowledge of the safe use of the equipment and consumables. Communicate the strengths and competitive advantages of STERIS products, services and technologies, and provide a total solution to meet the customer’s capital and consumable needs. Required Bachelor’s degree. Three to five years of successful sales experience, including a minimum of two years in B2B or medical device/medical consumables sales. Strong communication skills. Preferred Understanding of the hospital buying process, including the role of national accounts, GPO, IDN and distributors. Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing.
