**Magellan Luxury Hotels** is looking for a successful, motivated _Accounting Manager_ to join our team. In this role, you will complete full cycle accounting, create and manage various weekly/monthly/annual financial reports, manage and administer accounts receivable/payable, process payroll, and execute administrative work.

This is a full-time role with a base salary + bonus eligibility.

**Accounting Manager responsibilities include**:

- Complete full cycle accounting for Magellan Vacations & any affiliated companies
- Oversee the company’s financials, including financial planning and budgeting
- Manage financial reporting, including internal monthly reports and annual financial statements for all companies. Review and approve annual statements prior to tax filings.
- Prepare annual budget and track spending
- Complete cash flow projections and analysis
- Liaise with external service providers such as bank account managers, insurance brokers, etc.
- Ensure appropriate insurance coverage is in place - EO/DO & liability
- Administer and manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
- Maintain accounting system and all accounting functions including accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and collections
- Create and analyze receivables reports, communicating with General Manager and Account Manager regarding problematic accounts
- Oversee Payment processing systems (PCI) - Visa, Mastercard, and Amex
- All payroll activities including year end reporting, bi-monthly payroll processing, and maintaining the payroll system
- Provide new employee orientation information and administer employee benefits
- Oversee, train, and evaluate future finance department staff
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications & Expertise**
- Education in an accounting or business-related program at college or university level
- Accounting degree or designation is an asset
- Five or more years accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Corporate tax knowledge is an asset.
- Experience with managing and directing staff an asset
- Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel, accounting programs, and payroll programs
- Strong communication and writing skills to work with all levels of employees and management

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
