Role overviewWe are looking for Sr Java Cloud Architect with experience developing and building hard-working, scalable, enterprise applications. The responsibilities include Develop and implement cloud strategy and migration plans, leveraging cloud-native technologies and services to optimize infrastructure, reduce costs, and improve scalability and resilience.
What you’ll do- Lead the end-to-end delivery of technology solutions within the Technology Solutions (TS) group, focusing on TDS (Technology Delivery Services) and TBSM (Technology Business Services Management).
- Collaborate with team members to gather requirements, define project scope, and develop solution architectures that align with business objectives and technical requirements.
- Supervise the entire software development lifecycle, from design and development to testing, deployment, and maintenance, ensuring timely and successful delivery of technology solutions.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in technology solutions delivery processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability.
- Lead platform governance and management initiatives for cloud and platform modernization projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards.
- Develop and implement cloud strategy and migration plans, leveraging cloud-native technologies and services to optimize infrastructure, reduce costs, and improve scalability and resilience.
- Evaluate existing platforms, applications, and infrastructure to find opportunities for modernization, consolidation, or optimization, and define migration strategies and roadmaps.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud-based solutions, leveraging Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) offerings.
- Work in an Agile development environment, following Scrum and/or Kanban methodologies to deliver incremental, iterative software releases and respond quickly to changing requirements and priorities.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to track progress, identify blockers, and continuously improve team performance and productivity.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to prioritize and refine the product backlog, ensuring that user stories are well-defined, estimated, and ready for implementation.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in technology solutions architecture, with a focus on cloud and platform modernization initiatives.
- Proven track record of optimally delivering end-to-end technology solutions, from concept to implementation, within sophisticated and multifaceted environments.
- Expertise in cloud computing platforms and services, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, with hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and handling cloud-based solutions.
- Experience with platform governance and management practices, including defining standards, policies, and processes for platform usage, security, and compliance.
- Strong understanding of modern software development methodologies, such as Agile, DevOps, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and their application in delivering technology solutions.
- Proficiency in solution architecture design principles, patterns, and standard methodologies, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
- Knowledge of cloud-native architectures, microservices, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), serverless computing, and other modern software paradigms.
- Experience with platform governance tools and technologies, such as cloud management platforms (CMPs), configuration management tools, and infrastructure as code (IaC) frameworks.
