Sr Java DeveloperApex Systems is a global IT services provider and our staffing practice has an opening for a Sr Java Developerto place at our client, within Enterprise Retailer.Client: Enterprise RetailerLocation: GTA – 1-2x a month in office.Hours: 40 hours per weekAbout the Project: Our client is working on an exciting Pricing Engine project aimed at replacing their current open management system with a new, robust pricing engine portal. This portal will handle discount and promotion calculations, providing a more efficient and scalable solution for their needs.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain high-quality Java applications using Spring Boot.Design and implement distributed systems with a focus on scalability and performance.Work with cloud technologies, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Manage and optimize SQL and Redis databases.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of the pricing engine.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.Required Skills:5+ years of experience in Java development.Proficiency in Spring Boot.Experience with cloud platforms, especially GCP.Strong understanding of distributed systems.Hands-on experience with SQL and Redis.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Nice to Have:Background in retail industry.Experience with pricing engines or similar systems.Why Join Us:Be part of a dynamic and innovative team.Work on cutting-edge technology and projects.Opportunities for professional growth and development
