About The Opportunity NP Digital Canada is seeking an energetic, passionate, and strategic Senior SEO Manager to support the growth of our rapidly expanding Canadian business. We are looking for an experienced individual with a proven track record of formulating SEO recommendations and producing results. In this role you will handle the day-to-day management of SEO accounts. You will be responsible for implementing data-backed SEO strategies to maximize campaign performance and creating and presenting client performance reports. You’ll be responsible for assisting our product team in developing standard processes and procedures. This is a roll-up-your-sleeves kind-of position that has serious scope to grow as our business expands. You will also help lead client strategy for some of NP Digital's key clients in Canada. A large portion of your time will be dedicated to client support, and deliver. However, we do want this person to have a huge passion for innovation, given that the SEO landscape is constantly shifting. You will be responsible for ensuring that both our clients and our team's SEO strategy is working well and delivering industry-leading SEO work by identifying ways to make our SEO practice more effective and efficient, working alongside our Content Manager and SEO members. A critical component of this role is the ability to innovate. This includes supporting the overall growth of the business, execution, providing strategic thinking, participating in thought leadership, and contributing to NPD globally with innovative thinking on SEO and AI. The ideal candidate for this role is someone with 5+ years of SEO experience, with a strong focus on all components of SEO and content marketing (on-page, off-page, link building, technical, e-commerce, local, international, etc.) Last but not least, you should have a clear vision of where the SEO industry is going and contribute to developing new offerings for emerging areas. To qualify, candidates must reside and be eligible to work in Canada. Toronto-based ideal as some light travel. Responsibilities In this role, you will report directly to the SEO Director and SVP Product and be responsible for SEO strategy with a focus on customer satisfaction. Develop and establish SEO processes that are repeatable and scalable. Manage daily SEO activities and deliverables to be provided by the client and develop SEO strategies that will help clients reach the objectives. Ongoing optimization efforts to meet client objectives, including SEO audits to identify technical issues, keyword research and mapping, metadata development, on-page, off-page, and SEO content ideation and planning. Help clients establish organic search KPIs relevant to their business goals and provide concrete reports to help them achieve those goals. Drive innovation, for example, by developing new offerings and revising existing services and processes by exploring new tools and platforms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and contribute to the department's SEO strategy and vision and identify KPIs to measure success. Educate clients and internal team on SEO best practices and continuing education about the evolving SEO landscape. About You Minimum of 5 years in SEO, with extensive experience managing and implementing strategies for both SMB and Enterprise clients, including large and complex SEO campaigns for Fortune 500 brands. Demonstrated success in conducting and leading high-impact SEO campaigns across diverse industries and business sizes, leveraging data to drive results. In-depth technical SEO skills, including the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to CMS platforms, server configurations, page structure, and other common SEO hurdles. Familiarity with HTML/CSS is a plus. Ability to identify opportunities and solve problems using data analysis, market research, and strategic insights. Proficient in utilizing analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Ahrefs, Google Data Studio, STAT, BrightEdge, and Google Search Console for data-driven SEO recommendations. Good working knowledge of Python to streamline and automate SEO processes, as well as create efficiencies across technical SEO tasks and reporting. Proven track record of developing, articulating, and presenting comprehensive digital strategies and SEO recommendations to clients, including C-Suite and executive audiences. Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to convey digital trends and industry insights in clear, compelling language. Skilled at independently handling technical challenges and collaborating effectively with IT and data teams to resolve complex SEO issues. Contribute to departmental growth by helping develop processes, templates, and best-in-class deliverables. Stay current with industry news, and actively share knowledge and insights with team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning. Strong communication and relationship-building skills, confident in engaging with new and existing clients, including presenting recommendations and fielding questions.
