Join us as a Medical Advisor at Lemieux Bédard. Reporting to the director, strategic planning, the medical advisor will interpret and synthesize scientific, clinical, and medical information to write promotional, educational, and scientific copy for healthcare professionals, patients, and consumers. The role works closely with the director, strategic planning, the medical director, and the VP of healthcare business strategy to guide clients toward best strategies for their brands. Skills Keen interest in and understanding of science. Solid medical writing skills, rigor, meticulousness, and understanding of medical concepts and terminology. Meticulous work ethic to ensure accuracy of information and supporting sources. Ability to navigate, interpret and execute within regulatory boundaries such as PAAB and ASC. Strong organizational skills and sense of responsibility. Ability to understand, analyze, interpret and synthesize scientific, clinical and medical information. Good composure under pressure and ability to meet tight deadlines. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team. Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science (Pharmacology, etc.) or in English writing, journalism, communication, marketing, or related discipline with strong interest in science. Advanced written English, intermediate‑to‑advanced spoken English. 5+ years of experience as a medical writer or medical strategist in an advertising agency. Knowledge and application of PAAB Code and Advertising Standards Canada (ASC) Code. Experience across multiple therapeutic areas preferred. Mastery of MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Main Responsibilities Participate in brief development with client services to ensure content aligns with brand strategy. Write outlines and copy (scientific, clinical, medical, or creative) based on project brief. Source references and upload them to client portals for medical/legal/regulatory review. Attend client meetings to determine strategic communication plans for brand optimization. Develop messaging strategy and suggest innovative tactics for advertising campaigns. Collaborate with creative team to develop concepts and impactful layouts. Work with account service team to find solutions to tight timelines or heavy workloads. Be fluent in PAAB, ASC, and Food and Drug Act regulations. Participate in client brand team meetings for continuity and course correction. Engage with client to determine strategy and deliverables for upcoming sales meetings. Work with client service on tactical proposals and brand plans for clients’ fiscal year. Support clients in internal meetings, concept testing, rep training workshops, CME, market research, and other activities.
