As a Data Team Lead, you will oversee and guide a team of data professionals responsible for managing and optimizing data assets within GEM. Your role will involve leading the development and implementation of data management practices, ensuring data quality, availability, and governance, and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will provide leadership, mentorship, and foster a collaborative environment to ensure the efficient delivery of data projects and continuous improvement in data management processes.

  1. Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of data management practices, ensuring the organization's data assets are reliable, accessible, and secure.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver scalable and efficient data solutions that support business objectives.
  3. Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across the organization by implementing robust data governance frameworks and processes.
  4. Lead data management projects, setting priorities, allocating resources, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality solutions that meet project goals, budgets, and deadlines.
  5. Lead a team of data professionals by providing technical guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
    1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field. li>
    2. Proven experience (10 years) in data management, data governance, and data integration.
    3. Experience using the following software/tools:
    4. Relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MS SQL Server, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, MariaDB).
    5. Cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and cloud-based data services.
    6. Data modeling and transformation tools like DBT.
    7. ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, Airflow, or Informatica.
    8. Knowledge of APIs and data integration strategies.
    9. Relevant certifications in Azure Data Services or Snowflake are a plus.
