Hatch is seeking a Structural CAD Designer to join the Project Delivery Group (PDG) to produce structural 3D models and 2D drawings in accordance with project requirements under the supervision of the Lead Structural Designer. The role covers projects including building foundations, equipment foundations, building steel framing, and other structures for mining, industrial, and hydropower plants. Responsibilities include structural steel and concrete modeling and drafting for front-end planning and detailed engineering across multi-discipline projects.Note: Applicants must submit a transcript (official or unofficial) upon application. ResponsibilitiesAssist the Lead Structural Designer with the delivery of project requirements related to scope, quantities, cost, and scheduleProduce and maintain technical and engineering drawings using 2D and 3D CAD softwarePerform conceptual layout workDevelop design detailsCheck drawings prior to releaseEnsure coordination with designers and engineers within the discipline and with other disciplinesPerform clash detection of models with other discipline modelsParticipate in formal engineering review processesVerify onsite condition and dimensions relating to existing facilitiesIncorporate safety in design Qualifications And ExperienceMust be working toward graduation in 2026, or recently graduated, with a diploma specializing in civil/structural designExperience within a large project, multi-disciplinary EPCM environmentProficient in 2D and 3D structural design/drawing software (Revit, AutoCAD, or Bentley MicroStation)Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and codes pertinent to structural design in OntarioUnderstanding of other discipline requirements Key Attributes Of The Successful CandidateAbility to learn quickly and take on new challengesCollaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailCritical and creative thinking with problem-solving abilitiesSelf-motivated, resourceful and takes initiative Employment Types and FunctionsSeniority level: Entry levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Project Management, EngineeringIndustries: Mining, Industrial Machinery Manufacturing, Civil Engineering Company CommitmentsHatch is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
