Typical day in this role:
The main function of a Developer (Other Specialty) is to design, develop, and implement applications using in-demand languages and technologies (e.g. – OpenPages Congo's) to support business requirements.


Job Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex Congo's report components and applications.
  2. Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts.
  3. Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution.
  4. Assure quality security and compliance requirements are met for supported area.
  5. Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment.
  6. Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner.

Must have:

  1. 8-10 years of experience in the software development field using Congo's reporting, Experience in COGNOS Version 11 and/or 12 report development (2 to 5+ years).
  2. Creating, enhancing, and maintaining Framework Manager models to support business requirements (5+ years).
  3. Designing and developing Congo's BI reports using Report Studio with data drill-down and slice-and-dice options (5+ years).
  4. Metadata creation, report specifications, integration, test planning, testing, and implementation support.
  5. Advanced Structured Query Language (SQL) skills (5+ years) in database DB2 or Oracle. Ability to write complex queries, including complex joins and nested queries. Comprehensive knowledge of relational database concepts (7+ years).
  6. Understanding of server technologies (Websphere, Internet Information Server, Apache, WebLogic), operating systems (Windows 2008R2/2012, AIX, Linux), and server security (5+ years).

Nice to have:

  1. Experience working in Agile teams.
  2. IBM OpenPages Congo's development.
  3. Experience integrating third-party vendor products.
  4. Experience with onshore and offshore models.
  5. Preference for candidates with a financial industry background.

Soft skills:

  1. Fluency in English.
  2. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities to develop and support systems that meet user requirements.
  3. Creativity and flexibility in identifying technical solutions to resolve business problems in a rapidly changing, demanding, and complex environment.
  4. In-depth understanding of the application systems you are responsible for.
  5. Ability to support multiple applications and multitask between priorities.

Education and Certifications:

  1. Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a technical equivalent.

Best vs. Average Candidate:
Open pages Congo's report development experience V 11 or higher, strong technical knowledge, good communication, problem solver.


Interview:

  1. 1st round on MS teams with HM on soft skills and work experience – 30 mins.
  2. 2nd round panel technical interview – in-person availability is must – 45 mins.
