Fullstack Developer
Contract 15 Months+
Hybrid Role - Montreal, QC

Roles and Responsibilities:
  1. Senior Developer part of the AMER team responsible for delivery of the new Communication Surveillance Platform across all Products.
  2. Collaborate with teams in other locations, such as EMEA, on planning and prioritization for the platform developments.
  3. Establish a collaborative working relationship with senior stakeholders:
    1. Fully understand the business needs.
    2. Ensure that corresponding IT needs are properly documented to allow for estimation and planning.
    3. Ensure that a corresponding IT strategy is developed and implemented.
  4. Participate in an agile based software development life cycle including technical analysis, documentation, development, testing and code reviews.
  5. Collaborate with the production support team for release and maintenance of the components.
  6. Work closely with the other senior developers in determining and following best development and architecture practices.
  7. Provide technical guidance and leadership for more junior members of the team.
  8. Propose and provide feedback from experience/knowledge on architecture, design, technology choices and technology direction of the platform.
  9. Fully participate in requirement and design meetings for new functionality.
  10. Provide 3rd line application support on a rotation basis within the broader team.
Required Skills Include:
  1. Bachelors in computer science or engineering.
  2. Experienced and proven track record in developing and mentoring developers working on a full stack Java environment, preferably in the communication surveillance field.
  3. Advanced understanding and working experience of various fundamentals and concepts in the domain of communication surveillance within the financial sector.
  4. Strong grasp & working experience in Java, Python, VueJS (or similar) with a proven track record working on distributed computing environments.
  5. Working experience in an agile environment as technical leader for full stack Java development in a distributed environment, collaboratively with Data Scientists.
  6. Front End GUI development experience.
  7. Advanced knowledge of Python and JSON.
  8. Strong UNIX skills.
  9. Expertise in CICD, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Ansible, Jenkins, and SonarQube.
  10. Experience with JAVA, J2EE, JavaScript, Perl.
  11. Experience with all project lifecycle stages – Requirements Gathering to Post Implementation.
  12. Experienced as a team player working in a global team.
  13. Ability to manage conflicting requests on time in a continually fast-moving environment.
  14. Must be a self-starter with attention to detail.
  15. Strong communications (written and oral) skills in a front-office setting.
