The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Territory Sales Manager to join our Commercial team in the greater Winnipeg area. The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for developing and prospecting long-term, profitable customer relationships within the assigned territory and markets. A highly, intrinsically motivated Territory Sales Manager will be encouraged to provide deep product expertise and sales assistance to customers across AGI’s product lines while also listening to their needs and ensuring that solutions are offered, sold and followed through with. Other responsibilities include commercial activities and negotiations required to maintain profitable growth for assigned customers through value-added and consultative selling techniques; monitor results and develop plans to meet sales goals; perform field sales to build relationships with design-build contractors, mechanical installers, and end-users to ensure that solutions are offered, sold and followed through with; further develops and maintains accounts through technical support and account servicing.

Responsibilities

  1. Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  2. Build an account base by demonstrating products, services, and technical product solutions.
  3. Drive new customer business through networking, referrals, and cold calling.
  4. Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to contractors and direct customers.
  5. Enter all customer opportunities into Salesforce and actively manage and maintain opportunity status.
  6. Collect customer requirements to quote Request for Proposals from customers including drawings, specifications and contract terms.
  7. Work with internal departments and/or divisions to solve problems and develop solutions for customer accounts.
  8. Strategize with management to locate and maximize sales opportunities.
  9. Ensure sales and retention goals for all products are met.
  10. Assist in development of sales and marketing budget and ensure adherence to the budget numbers.
  11. Complete and maintain sales reports, forecasts and customer data.
  12. Contribute to a positive Company image, support regional and national trade shows and markets.

Qualifications

  1. 3+ years of demonstrated sales or customer service achievements preferably in the Agri-Industry Sector.
  2. Possess sales and business acumen, ideally coupled with an Ag Business, Marketing, or Technical degree, or equivalent commensurate experience.
  3. Solid sales and marketing capabilities, with a good understanding of market segmentation, product line profitability analysis, and new product development.
  4. Proven history of managing a complex technical product line.
  5. Ambition to exceed sales goals and contribute to continuous improvement.
