Job Description
  • Manages all aspects of assigned projects, including development of full-scale project plans, schedules, progress, budget, risk management, issue management, resource management, quality review/best practices, and evaluation framework.
  • Directs daily project activities, effectively communicates project expectations, and coordinates the work of the members of the project team to ensure activities meet or exceed needs and expectations.
  • Develops, tracks, and maintains project documentation during all stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Proactively identifies and manages changes to project scope and develops contingency plans as required.
  • Supports the leadership team in conducting stakeholder meetings and forums to solicit feedback, input, and expectations, and incorporates recommendations into project plans.
  • Champions a co-design approach to ensure the voices of clients, families, frontline staff, and partners drive projects from conception to completion.
  • Provides regular updates to the leadership and other stakeholders as required through project reports and presentations.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of Project Management experience in healthcare.
  • Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences, Engineering, Health Care/Informatics, or Business Administration.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset.
  • Must have knowledge of Project Management methodologies and the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
  • Conversant in various tools for project management, project planning, and time tracking, e.g., Primavera, MS Project, MS Excel, MS Visio, WBS Pro, and Eclipse.
  • Experience with Agile and Lean methodologies is an asset.
  • Proven ability to lead, plan, implement, and manage projects and initiatives in a healthcare setting.
