Our client manufactures and distributes a wide line of industrial products to the oil and gas, mining, and natural resources sectors around the world.

The Director will be responsible for leading a team across the full scope of procurement, materials management, logistics, and distribution requirements of both raw materials and finished goods, based in Edmonton.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the senior leadership team to develop strategic plans that improve North American and global distribution activities and optimize total supply chain spend.
  • Develop, execute, and manage the operational plans to support the business.
  • Assist in developing and reviewing proposals, plans, and budgets.
  • Overall responsibility for ensuring relationships with supply chain partners and total end-to-end supply chain activities are maximized.
  • Accountable for a mid-size team spread across North America.
  • Provide leadership and communication guidance to team members to ensure the work environment is based on teamwork, trust, confidence, and accountability.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of senior-level experience across the full scope of supply chain.
  • Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment with global supply chains is considered an asset.
  • Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Supply Chain Ops certification is an asset: SCMP, CSCP, or CPIM.
  • Able to travel to client or vendor/partner locations globally for site visits.
