Our client manufactures and distributes a wide line of industrial products to the oil and gas, mining, and natural resources sectors around the world. The Director will be responsible for leading a team across the full scope of procurement, materials management, logistics, and distribution requirements of both raw materials and finished goods, based in Edmonton.

Responsibilities:
  1. Work with the senior leadership team to develop strategic plans that improve North American and global distribution activities and optimize total supply chain spend.
  2. Develop, execute, and manage the operational plans to support the business.
  3. Assist in developing and reviewing proposals, plans, and budgets.
  4. Overall responsibility in ensuring relationships with supply chain partners, and total end to end supply chain activities are maximized.
  5. Accountable for a mid-size team spread across North America.
  6. Providing leadership and communication guidance to team members to ensure the work environment is based on teamwork, trust, confidence, and accountability.
Requirements:
  1. 7+ years of senior level experience across the full scope of supply chain.
  2. Experience in industrial manufacturing environment with global supply chains is considered an asset.
  3. Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related.
  4. Supply Chain Ops certification is an asset: SCMP, CSCP or CPIM.
  5. Able to travel to client or vendor/partner locations globally for site visits.
