Our 30,000 sq ft facility in Langley, BC, is equipped to handle products with machine capability from 40 to 730 tons, ensuring top-notch service tailored to each customer's unique needs.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for a Quality Assurance Specialist / Auditor at Newton Industries Ltd. in Langley, BC. We are seeking a detail-oriented QC Technician / Auditor to support our high-mix, custom plastic injection molding operations. This role is critical in ensuring part conformity, maintaining documentation integrity, leading root cause investigations, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on inspection experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across diverse teams.Key Responsibilities:1. Inspection & AuditingPerform incoming, in-process, and final part inspections per customer and internal specificationsValidate material certifications and approve parts for shipmentConduct audits on molding setups, machine parameters, and fixture calibrationsEnsure compliance with SOPs, quality plans, and work instructions2. Reporting & DocumentationGenerate and maintain inspection records, quality reports, and trend analysis chartsManage NCRs and document non-conformances accuratelyAssist in preparing dashboards and visual tracking tools for the production floor3. Root Cause Analysis & CAPALead structured root cause investigations (5-Why, Fishbone/Ishikawa)Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and verify corrective/preventive actionsFollow up to ensure long-term effectiveness of CAPAs4. Cross-Functional Collaboration & TrainingPartner with Production, Toolroom, and Engineering to resolve quality and mold-related issuesProvide feedback on DFM (Design for Manufacturability) for new and existing partsTrain operators in basic quality checks and visual defect identificationPromote a quality-first culture through positive mentorship on the shop floorMinimum Qualifications:• Diploma or Certificate in Quality Assurance, Plastics Technology, or related field• Minimum 2 years of QC experience in a plastic injection molding environment• Proficiency with inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges)• Working knowledge of quality tools: 5-Why, Fishbone, FMEARequired Skills:Experience with document control and audit complianceAbility to interpret technical drawings and specificationsEffective communicator – verbal and written (technical reporting)Team leadership in root cause and CAPA activitiesAbility to work with and train a culturally diverse workforceHigh attention to detail, with urgency and accountability in quality mattersCompetitive salary and performance-based incentives.Comprehensive health and dental benefits.Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.Supportive and collaborative work environment.How to Apply: Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume and a cover letter detailing their relevant experience and explaining why they are a good fit for this role.
