Job Description: We are seeking a skilled, detail-oreinted and organized accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial activities of the school, including budgeting, financial reporting, payroll, and accounts payable/receivable. The school accountant will work closely with the school administration and the board of directors to ensure financial compliance and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software (QuickBooks)

Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections

Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow

Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements

Prepare financial reports and statements for school management and board of directors

Assist with budget preparation and monitoring

Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations

Qualifications:

Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in a school or non-profit organization

Proficiency in QuickBooks online and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Quick learner and willing to take on duties as requested
