Our facility in Cambridge, ON is searching for an individual to:

  1. Design, develop, and implement automated equipment, machinery, and control systems for precision-based tasks to enhance efficiency, reduce human error, and streamline production.
  2. Build systems that can perform repetitive tasks without human intervention using a combination of technology, engineering, and programming skills.
What You Will Be Doing:
  1. Develop and design automation systems and control systems for automated machinery and processes based on project requirements.
  2. Analyze existing manual processes and recommend automation improvements.
  3. Configure software and tools to automate processes and operations.
  4. Program PLCs, HMI, robots, vision, servo, and other control systems; write code for automation tools.
  5. Integrate new control systems with existing equipment.
  6. Design control panels and electrical systems as needed.
  7. Perform system tests to verify functionality, performance, and reliability.
  8. Conduct risk assessments and ensure system robustness and safety.
  9. Work with vendors and suppliers to select appropriate components for automation solutions.
  10. Develop cost, equipment requirements, timing implementation schedules, training, area layouts, and manpower requirements.
    1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
    2. Proficiency with automation tools and systems such as robotics, motion control, variable frequency drives (VFDs), conveyor systems, automated testing tools.
    3. Knowledge of electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, and control panel designs.
    4. Strong programming skills, thorough knowledge in:
      1. Rockwell PLC programming
      2. HMI- Allen Bradley PanelView and Schneider Electric
      3. Fanuc Robot commissioning and programming.
    5. Familiarity with industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.).
    6. Familiarity with SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) and DCS (Distributed Control System) systems.
