Our projects enhance quality of life globally, combining the strength of an international company with the agility of a specialized group.Join our dynamic Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls (EI&C) groups in either Fredericton NB or Dartmouth NS as a full-time Electrical Engineer-In-Training. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our engineering and technical design teams, contributing to innovative projects that make a real impact. li>Prepare and coordinate contract drawings, specifications, and sketches from initial design to construction.Collaborate with EI&C group members, other Stantec disciplines, and clients to achieve project success.Contribute to varied project design teams.Conduct field surveys, site reviews, and develop as-recorded drawings.Communicate effectively with team members and project teams.Understanding and applying the Canadian Electrical Code and National Electrical Code to electrical design projects.Contributing to electrical, instrumentation and control designs, construction cost estimates, and equipment specifications.Assembling electrical and controls installation work packages for electrical contractors.Assisting the design team in completing fundamental engineering tasks and conducting engineering design calculations.Aiding in internal efforts to improve department operations, such as creating new tools, progressing new work methods, and advancing internal projects.Eligibility to Work: Candidates must have legal authorization to work in Canada.Driver’s License: Possession of a valid driver’s license is advantageous.Working knowledge of electrical codes and standards.Proactive, customer and quality focused attitude.Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite.Help with continuous improvement and streamlining processes and activities.Ability to follow Stantec’s quality control guidelines.Understanding of the importance of complying with Stantec’s Employee Health and Safety (EH&S) program, with a focus on safety in the field.Desire to be mentored by senior staff and adapt to feedback as required.A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.Exposure to construction or consulting in industrial and utility environments (e.g., wood products, pulp & paper, food, power generation/distribution, oil & gas, mining) would be an asset.-
