We are hiring for the role of Controller at our company headquarters in Dartmouth, NS. As our Controller, you will support and deliver our growth strategy in preparing monthly financial statements and associated reporting and reconciliations for Cabco and Lakeview. If you are team

**About you**:

- You have 5+ years’ experience working in an accounting/finance role
- You have completed or are working towards an accounting designation
- You have experience working with various accounting systems
- You have payroll experience
- You have a strong work ethic and ability to meet tight timelines
- You have a love of numbers and what drives those numbers and are detail-oriented
- You are a self-starter that can plan, prioritize, and work independently, with a high degree of integrity and confidentiality
- You have strong communication skills (written and verbal) and enjoy working in a team
- You are interested in our industry and knowledgeable or willing to learn current industry best practices and regulations
- You are capable of identifying issues and generating solutions and have interest in improving processes
- You are technologically savvy with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Payworks/Get Hired, Procore, ConnectWise and/or Quick Books would be an asset

**The Role**:
Reporting to the CEO/COO you will be an integral member of our Leadership team. You have a reputation for being reliable, detail-oriented, and highly organized. Essential responsibilities include:

- Monthly financial statement preparation and management reporting
- Cash flow management
- Payroll preparation and submission
- Bank reconciliation and government filings
- Budget and forecast preparation
- Leading and mentoring high performing accounting team, with oversight of inventory, AR/AP, billing
- Administration of pension and benefits
