Mechanical Design Engineer

Prepares and supervises the preparation of mechanical engineering designs, drawings, specifications, schedules, quantity and cost estimates for a wide range of new construction and maintenance improvement projects. Our client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in London, Kingston, or Kitchener, Ontario. As a technical leader, you will oversee mechanical projects, provide design strategies, and mentor junior engineers.Reviewing and stamping mechanical projects of varying complexities
Providing technical leadership and mentoring to intermediate and junior engineers
Developing mechanical design standards and practices
Collaborating with clients, contractors, and other engineering disciplines
Conducting site visits and construction phase services
10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in building services
Engineering license in Ontario with at least 5 years of Canadian experience
Design experience with central plant systems (hot water, steam, chilled water)
Knowledge of DDC control systems and sequencing
Experience in multiple industries (commercial, industrial, educational, healthcare, etc.)Comprehensive benefits package (full health and dental)
