Dash Social is seeking an interim Corporate Counsel for a 16-month term to cover a parental leave. This position is full-time from May 2025 to September 2026 and is a great opportunity to gain in-house counsel experience. As Corporate Counsel, you will be responsible for supporting Dash Social on various legal matters, including contracts and legal/regulatory compliance, as well as working collaboratively with employees and stakeholders on Dash Social's legal needs.

Qualifications

Desired Skills and Experience

  • You are a corporate lawyer with two to four years of relevant in-house or firm experience.
  • You can draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts, including NDAs, MSAs, DPAs, SLAs, and procurement contracts.
  • You are an effective and confident negotiator.
  • You have strong business acumen and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with different teams across the business.
  • You are a self-starter who can create and lead legal projects to completion independently.
  • Experience with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), privacy regulations and experience supporting a SaaS company are considered assets.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Work directly with customers on executing corporate contracts, including non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), master service agreements (MSAs), data processing agreements (DPAs), and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Advise internal teams on a broad spectrum of legal and business issues, including contractual commitments, industry-specific compliance obligations, international data protection requirements, intellectual property rights, trademarks and patents, and employment matters.
  • Help implement changes to contracts to comply with legislation, regulations, and other changes as required.
  • Provide pragmatic business advice to members of the Dash Social executive team.
  • Work with People Operations, Finance, and Security departments to ensure legal compliance.
