POSITION SUMMARY:

Activity Facilitators are responsible for leading family-oriented and group programs for members and guests of all ages. This includes sports, archery, outdoor nature activities, mini-golf clubhouse, roller rink, science experiments, climbing wall, games and other family programs. Additionally, Activity Facilitators will assist guests at the program registration desk.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Responsible for independently executing programming activities
  2. Promote and assist in special event weekends and seasonal programming
  3. Maintain and repair recreation equipment
  4. Predict, prevent, identify and respond to safety issues
  5. Communicate with all guests in a mature, responsible fashion
  6. Use computer system to assist guests in signing up for activities, check out equipment, and check participant rosters
  7. Make change and balance cash boxes
  8. Participate in daily cleaning of program buildings as assigned
  9. All other duties as assigned, including working in other departments
SNOW MOUNTAIN RANCH SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Lead guided hikes or snowshoe hikes dependent on season
  2. Operate and maintain safety at the ice skating rink and winter tubing hill in winter
  3. Operate and maintain safety at the summer tubing hill
  4. Assist at the Nordic Center in winter as needed
  5. Assist with the dog sledding program as needed
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Must be at least 18 years old
  2. Must be fluent in speaking English
  3. Must possess current Adult and Pediatric First Aid and CPR/AED certifications
GENERAL YMCA OF THE ROCKIES REQUIREMENTS:

  3. Possess excellent customer service skills; for example, friendly, personable, helpful, patient, and professional
  4. Support the Association safety program. Promote safe work practices and a safe environment for guests, members, and staff
  5. Promote a cooperative, positive, and flexible atmosphere while working with others in a diverse environment
  6. Must meet acceptable criminal background check standards
  7. All other duties as assigned
