COURAGE TO START, HEART TO FINISH and WELCOME ONE TO WELCOME ALL we leverage the collective talents and strengths of our GRH team, our community, and our partners to innovate and accelerate the transformation of health care delivery.We currently have an opportunity for a Casual Anesthesia Assistant.How Anesthesia Assistant support our teams at Grand River Hospital: Anesthesia Assistants are responsible for the provision of respiratory care as established by the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario (CRTO) and the standards of the hospital.Participates in the care of the stable surgical patient during general, regional or local anesthesia under the clinical direction of the Chief of Anesthesia.In addition to providing technical support for the anesthesiologist for complex anesthesia equipment, they administer anesthetic gases and medications, perform conscious sedation, and are responsible for insertion and monitoring of intravenous and arterial lines.Provides constant assessment and evaluative monitoring of the depth of anesthesia all under the direct supervision of the anesthesiologist and with the use of medical directives, as applicable.
