This position is for you As an Automation Technician, you’ll be at the heart of the action, working directly at client sites to solve complex technical problems. Your role will be crucial to the proper functioning of sophisticated systems, including: Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) Pneumatic systems Vision systems A highly stimulating and rewarding position: This role offers a very dynamic technical environment where you’ll have the opportunity to learn and master many new technologies. Comprehensive training will be provided to help you continuously develop your skills and grow professionally. Main Responsibilities Programming and commissioning of PLCs, operator interfaces (PLC/HMI), and robots, in accordance with Systemex Automation standards and project specifications. Troubleshooting automated cells. Improving programs to reduce cycle times. Wiring and programming new automated cells. Participating in design, functional analysis, project documentation, testing, commissioning, and training at the customer's site, depending on your experience. Drafting technical documents (technical data sheets, reports, specifications). Solving complex problems using innovative methods. Managing the installation and proper functioning of the systems under your responsibility. Assessing customer satisfaction and maintaining close relationships. Required Skills Degree in instrumentation and automation or equivalent. Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience. Experience working on various automation platforms: Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc. (an asset). Experience in automation in various fields (an asset). Experience with real-time control techniques for PC and PLC platforms. Experience in PLC, HMI, and DCS programming in various programming languages. Knowledge of AGV/AMR (an asset). Very good command of French and good knowledge of English (spoken and written), with strong communication skills. Leadership and team spirit. Strong aptitude for the continuous development of technical knowledge. Proficiency in project management, technical writing, and independent complex problem solving. Alert to business opportunities with our customers. Willingness to travel.
