ROLE PURPOSE The Recruitment Specialist will be Connective’s recruitment expert. This position will partner with members of the People and Culture Team to ensure day-to-day recruitment operations are managed effectively to support the organization’s growing team. This position will be promoting and implementing strategic recruitment practices to attract and retain successful candidates through market research, social media usage, and other best practices. STATUS Exempt. This position is open to applicants of all genders. HOURS (40 HOURS PER WEEK) Monday to Friday, 0900 - 1700 WHAT WE OFFER? Committed Living Wage Employer2022 & 2023 Canadian Nonprofit Employer of Choice Aware from NEOC2023 High-Performance Culture Award from SupportingLinesCompetitive benefits package, including health, wellness, and pension planCareer and personal development, with the ability to grow in a diverse range of programs and departmentsAccess to a range of staff mental health supports, including an in-house counsellor, Employee Family Assistance Program, and Critical Incidents Stress ManagementAccess to On-Demand Pay to withdraw earned wages before paydayConnective is part of a portability program where employees moving from a CSSEA-member employer to Connective will port their service hours for vacation and wage purposes (within last 12 months) REPORTING AND WORKING RELATIONSHIPS Reports and is accountable to the People and Culture Manager or their designateParticipates as a member of the Connective Administrative Support TeamLiaises with staff and volunteers of community and government agencies as requiredLiaises with the staff of Connective as necessary KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Manages the full recruitment cycle from sourcing to offerMeets with hiring managers to develop recruitment plans for each supported program and departmentPosts both internal and external positions as requested from hiring managersConducts resume screening, and telephone screening interviewsCoordinates and schedules interviews for hiring managersLeads and participates in interviews alongside managers or independently when neededCommunicates with managers about candidate’s progress in the recruitment processProcesses required clearances such as, criminal background checks, references checks, and education verification when neededConsults key stakeholders, (such as hiring managers, other members of the people and culture team, and the leadership team), in suggested recruitment best practicesWorks closely with the People and Culture leadership team in establishing the strategy, and roadmap for recruitmentInitiates recruitment process improvement to best support growing recruitment needsMaintains the Applicant Tracking System, ensuring information is up to dateManages the organizations reference check systemImplements marketing and recruitment strategies through research to maximize candidate reachParticipates in relevant job fairs, conferences, workshops, and learning opportunitiesApply Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives to recruitment and sourcing of candidatesPrepares various reports on recruitment efforts; analyse recruitment related dataCommunicates via email, phone, and social media with candidatesParticipates in the development and implementation of the recruitment planOther duties as assigned WORKING CONDITIONS Function independently, while remaining a crucial member of the support teamAdhere to Connective policies and proceduresBe available to work flexible hours as needed. May include some evenings/weekends, as determined by the regional office needs and schedules EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Degree or diploma in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training and experienceFive years work experience in a recruitment-based environment, preferably in the Social Services sectorDemonstrated commitment to a high level of customer serviceFlexibility to travel throughout the Lower Mainland (from Vancouver to Abbotsford)High proficiency with the Microsoft Office suiteStrong communication skills (listening, verbal and written)Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize workAttention to detail and problem-solving skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task REQUIREMENTS Ability to successfully complete a Vulnerable Persons Criminal Records CheckAbility to successfully pass a reference check COMPENSATION The annual salary range for this position is $56,900 to $71,070, will be based on experience and qualifications. This role is also eligible for the organization's comprehensive benefits package. The salary range provided represents the total compensation plan for this position. Actual salary placement will be determined based on a variety of factors, including pay equity, market conditions, candidate experience, internal equity, and organizational priorities. Placement within the range is typically at the midpoint. Important: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada, observe their weekly hours limit if under a temporary or study visa, and provide proof of eligibility if selected for the role.
