OverviewClerical Support Associate to join the Inpatient Cardiology team at Humber River Health – Wilson Site. Employment Status: Temporary Part Time. Duration: until June 1, 2026. Hours of Work: 8 or 12 hour shifts, days and weekends. Location: Humber River Health, Wilson Site. Labour Group: Teamsters Clerical. Reporting Relationship: Manager, Cardiology. Hourly Rate: 29.966 - 31.016.ResponsibilitiesProvide clerical support including patient registration and discharge, maintenance of patient records, order entry and statistics.Deliver customer service including scheduling appointments, answering patient inquiries, handling telephone inquiries, and greeting patients and visitors in a courteous manner.Coordinate with bed allocation and other departments to arrange patient placement.Communicate with other departments and service areas as needed.QualificationsHigh school graduate or equivalent.Completion of a Community College Medical Secretary Diploma is an asset.Completion of a medical terminology course is preferred.Minimum 1 year full-time equivalent recent clerical experience required.Good keyboarding skills, with a minimum typing speed of 40 WPM.Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite.Strong interpersonal skills, both oral and written.MEDITECH computer experience is an asset.Good organizational and problem-solving skills, with ability to prioritize a varied and busy workload; capable of coping with tight deadlines, interruptions, and emergency situations.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a team environment.Knowledge of a second language is an asset.Demonstrated customer service skills.Applicants may be required to complete administrative testing (typing speed and MS Office).Excellent attendance and a discipline-free record.Benefits and EquityWe are committed to equity, inclusion, and participation in the community.
