As part of our dynamic team, you can lead the way, as we continue our journey towards high reliability careWe currently have an exciting opportunity for a Clerical Support Associate to join our Cardiologiy Clinic.Employment Status: Permanent Full-time Hours of Work: Days and EveningsLocation: Humber River Health, Wilson Site Labour Group: LiUNA Reporting Relationship: Manager, O/P Cardio-Diag Resp TherapyHourly Rate: $29.966 - $31.016Responsibilities: Responsible for clerical support including patient registration and discharge, maintenance of patient records, order entry and statistics.Responsible for customer service including scheduling appointments, answering patient inquiries, telephone inquiries, greeting patients and visitors in a courteous manner. Communicates with bed allocation and other departments to arrange patient placement.Communicates with other departments and service areasRequirements:High school graduate or equivalent.Completion of a Community College Medical Secretary Diploma an asset.Completion of a medical terminology course preferred. Minimum 1 year full time equivalent recent clerical experience required, preferably in a Cardiology Clinic Good keyboarding skills, with minimum typing speed of 40 WPM.Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite.Strong interpersonal skills, both oral and written MEDITECH computer experience an assetGood organizational and problem solving skills required, including an ability to prioritize a varied and busy workload. Demonstrated ability to cope with tight deadlines, frequent interruptions and emergency situations Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a team environmentKnowledge of a second language an assetDemonstrated customer service skills.
